Moving toward a
Missional Church

By City Collective

After years of serving as one of several pastors for a megachurch in Chicagoland, Caesar Kalinowski began to sense that his time away from the business of "doing church" Stateside was far more reflective of the way the church manifested the Spirit of God in Acts. He soon left the Midwest for Seattle where he banded with others who desired to live missionally within what has become Soma communities. Kalinowski, who is the author of The Gospel Primer, now serves as the Director of GCM Collective, an organization that helps catalyze missional community multiplication across North America.

In the interview below, Kalinowski uncovers the specific practices, rhythms, and challenges to leading missional communities and discuss the innovative partnership GCM has developed with the Christian Missionary Alliance and Nyack College to develop learning communities for men and women interested in pursuing the missional community model.
